Simple understanding of PET packaging
PET is polyethylene terephthalate, thermoplastic polyester is the most important variety. It is known in English as polypthylene terephthalate, short for PET or PETP, commonly known as PET resin. It is a polycondensation of terephthalic acid with ethylene glycol, which together with PBT is collectively known as thermoplastic polyester, or saturated polyester. It was first developed in 1941 by J.T. Winfield and J.T. ickon in the United Kingdom. British Imperial Chemical Company (1.c.I) started production of Teleron fiber in 1946, and then American Dupent started production of Dacron fiber in 1948. Early PET was almost used in synthetic fibers (commonly known as dacron, dacron). Since the 1980s, PET as an engineering plastic has made breakthrough progress, and continued to develop nucleating agent and crystallization promoter, PET and PBT together as thermoplastic polyester, become one of the five engineering plastics.

Characteristics of PET packaging boxes
PET is a milky white or pre-yellow highly crystalline polymer with a smooth, glossy surface. Creep resistance, fatigue resistance, friction resistance and dimensional stability, small wear and high hardness, with the greatest toughness of thermoplastics; Good electrical insulation performance, little affected by temperature, but poor corona resistance. Non-toxic, weather resistance, good stability against chemicals, low water absorption, weak acid and organic solvent resistance, but not heat resistant water immersion, not alkali resistance.
